Ms. Evangela J. Nichols-Gordon is a Louisiana State Board licensed registered nurse. Ms. Gordon recognized very early in life that she enjoyed comforting and caring for other. Thus, immediately upon graduating from Warren Easton Senior High School she enrolled in Charity-Delgado School of Nursing where she earned her Associate's Degree in 1994. Mrs. Gordon has obtained certification in several areas to include: Lower Extremity Amputation Prevention (LEAP) by the LSU-HSC Diabetes Foot Program in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Wound Care by the National Alliance of Wound Care.
Ms. Gordon has been working in the Greater New Orleans are for the past ten years. She has worked as a staff nurse at the Medical Center of Louisiana @ New Orleans (Charity Hospital Campus) where she fine-tuned her skills in nursing, all the while acquiring priceless knowledge. She also gained a wealth of experience while working as a pool nurse at several area hospitals. Ms Gordon especially enjoys her latest endeavor of providing education, foot screenings, and basic foot care to diabetic patients with the goal of preventing ulceration and amputation.
When your passion is ministering to the needs of others, be it emotional, physical or spiritual, it is impossible to separate your work form the rest of your life. Her profession blends perfectly with the path she has chosen for her life as an Evangelist. To further balance her life, Mrs. Gordon engages in several pastimes. She has been writing poetry for years and has recently begun to try her hand at short stories. An avid reader, she attends bible study weekly and is a member of a book club of young ladies who share her love of literature. She also enjoys traveling both to volunteer her services and to experience different cultures.
